House of Cards Collaborative Art Project

This project was a multiple step project for my design class at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Charles and Ray Eames' film entitled Power of Ten. Our particular project was an homage to the "House of Cards" game that the Eameses produced in 1952. The project goal was to create charcoal rubbings of various textured surfaces and recreate those rubbings in pen and ink renderings. After creating the renderings, we were deemed with the task of mounting them to one side of a matte board measured to 4 1/2"x 6 3/4", while mounting colored and textured Canson paper to the other side. The next step was to cut slots in the sides of the cards and create architectural structures.
